Vaishnodevi Yatra

Vaishno Devi Mandir (Hindi: वैष्णोदेवी मन्दिर) is one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Shakti, located in the hill of Vaishno Devi, Jammu and Kashmir, India. In Hinduism, Vaishno Devi, also known as Mata Rani and Vaishnavi, is a manifestation of the Mother Goddess.

The temple is near the town of Katra, in Jammu district in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is one of the most revered places of worship in Northern India. The shrine is at an altitude of 5200 feet and a distance of approximately 12 kilometers (7.45 miles) from Katra. Million of pilgrims visit the temple every year[1] and is the second most visited religious shrine in India, after Tirumala Venkateswara Temple. The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board maintains the shrine. A rail link from Udhampur to Katra is being built to facilitate pilgrimage.

• Day 01: Arrival Jammu - Transfer Katra:
  Arrival at Jammu Airport. Transfer to hotel in Katra. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay in the hotel at Katra.
  
  Katra Vaishnodevi
  Katra Vaishno Devi, as it is popularly known, is a small town in Jammu and Kashmir, India, situated in the foothills of the Trikuta Mountains, where the holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi is located. It is part of the Udhampur District and is located 42 km from the city of Jammu.
   
• Day 02: Vaishnodevi
  After breakfast proceed to Bhawan for darshan of Mata Vaishnodevi ji, In evening back to Katra,
  Overnight at hotel
   
• Day 03: Shiv Khori
  After breakfast proceed to shiv khori 80 k.ms road distance at Ransoo base camp of vehicle. And then 3 K.ms track on foot or poney. Shiv khori thus denotes Shiv's cave. It is about 200mtrs long and 01 meter wide and 2-3meters high natural cave contains a self made lingam. After darshan back to katra.
  Overnight at hotel Katra.
  
  Shiv Khori :- There are many places of tourist and religious importance around Katra also. The devotees coming for the darshans of the deity can club their pilgrimage with a visit to these places. Specially during the rush time when there is a lot of rush at Katra and Yatries have to wait for some time before being allowed to proceed to Bhawan, they can utilize their time by a visit to these places.
   
• Day 04: Departure - Transfer
  After breakfast proceed to Jammu for onward journey.
